Around three quarters of public service costs are fee-financed
Bern, 01.11.2022 - The COVID-19 lockdown led to fee losses in the public sector. This is demonstrated by the indicator of fee-based financing in the cantons and municipalities computed by the Federal Finance Administration (FFA). In four selected task areas, an average of 75% of costs were financed by fees in 2020 (previous year: 77%). The coronavirus pandemic caused lower receipts at driver and vehicle licensing offices and in the legal system.
