Equality of people with disabilities: indicators 2014 - Around 5% of persons with disabilities feel discriminated at work because of their disability

Neuchâtel, 01.12.2016 - (FSO) – People with disabilities participate extensively in the labour market but they experience a poorer quality of life at work than other workers. In particular, they are more often subject to discrimination and violence at work. Some 5% said that they had suffered discrimination because of their disability during the 12 months prior to the survey. These findings come from the equality indicators of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), published on Thursday ahead of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2016.
