Swiss Labour Force Survey in 1st quarter 2016: labour supply – 1.3% increase in number of employed persons; unemployment rate based on ILO definition rises to 5.1%
Neuchâtel, 19.05.2016 - (FSO) - The number of employed persons in Switzerland rose by 1.3% between the 1st quarter 2015 and the 1st quarter 2016. During the same period, the unemployment rate as defined by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) increased from 4.4% to 5.1%. The EU's unemployment rate decreased from 10.2% to 9.2%. These are some of the survey results from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
