Statistics on tourist accommodation in September 2015 – Overnight stays fall in September
Neuchâtel, 05.11.2015 - (FSO) - The Swiss hotel industry registered 3.4 million overnight stays in September 2015, which corresponds to a decrease of 1.0% (-33,000 overnight stays) compared with September 2014. Domestic demand generated 1.5 million overnight stays, i.e. a decline of 2.5% (-39,000 overnight stays). Foreign visitors generated 1.8 million overnight stays, representing a slight increase of 0.3% (+5300 overnight stays). These are provisional results from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
