Empty dwellings census of 1 June 2015 – Dwelling vacancy rate continues to rise

Neuchâtel, 21.09.2015 - (FSO) - On the reference day (1 June 2015), some 51,172 dwellings or 1.19% of all dwellings were unoccupied in Switzerland. Some 5424 more dwellings were empty than in the previous year, representing an increase of 12%. These are findings from the empty dwellings census of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
