Producer and Import Price Index in August 2015 – Continued decline in prices, year-on-year inflation -6.8%
Neuchâtel, 14.09.2015 - (FSO) - The Producer and Import Price Index fell by 0.7% in August 2015 compared with the previous month, reaching 90.7 points (base December 2010 = 100). This was primarily attributable to lower prices for both chemical and pharmaceutical products and petroleum and petroleum products. According to the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), the price level of the whole range of domestic and imported products registered a drop of 6.8% year-on-year.
