Causes of death 2013 – One in twenty die from lung cancer

Neuchâtel, 07.07.2015 - (FSO) Cardiovascular diseases, cancer and dementia are the three most common causes of death in Switzerland. More than 3000 people died from lung cancer in 2013. 46% of men and 67% of women were aged 80 or over at time of death. These are the main findings from the Causes of Death statistics from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
