Swiss Construction Output Price Index in April 2015 – Falling prices in construction
Neuchâtel, 18.06.2015 - (FSO) - According to the construction output price index compiled by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), construction prices recorded a drop of 0.6% between October 2014 and April 2015. This decline reflects a fall in building (-0.6%) and civil engineering prices (-0.7%). A general feeling of uncertainty, due in part to a declining volume of work, is putting pressure on price levels. In year-on-year comparison, construction registered a price decrease of 0.7% (-0.9% in building and -0.1% in civil engineering).
