Producer and Import Price Index in April 2015 – Sharp decline in prices; year-on-year inflation drops to -5.2%
Neuchâtel, 15.05.2015 - (FSO) - The Producer and Import Price Index calculated by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) fell by 2.1% in April 2015 compared with the previous month, reaching 92.4 points (base December 2010 = 100). Lower prices were registered in particular for machinery, electronic and optical products, metal products, electrical equipment, motor vehicles and medical equipment. The price level of the whole range of domestic and imported products dropped by 5.2% year-on-year.
