Tourism accommodation statistics in March 2015 – 7.4% downturn in overnight stays in the hotel industry in March 2015
Neuchâtel, 07.05.2015 - (FSO) - The Swiss hotel industry registered 3.0 million overnight stays in March 2015, which corresponds to a decrease of 7.4% (-239,000 overnight stays) compared with March 2014. Foreign demand generated 1.6 million overnight stays, i.e. a decline of 8.3% (-146,000 overnight stays). Domestic visitors generated 1.4 million overnight stays, representing a decline of 6.3% (-93,000 overnight stays). These are the provisional results from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) for March 2015.
