Statistics on tourist accommodation in 2014 – Slight increase in overnight stays for youth hostels but campsites decline again
Neuchâtel, 30.04.2015 - (FSO) - Switzerland's 52 registered youth hostels generated 951,000 overnight stays in 2014, i.e. an increase of 0.4% compared with 2013. The 412 campsites, for their part, recorded 2.7 million overnight stays, representing a decline of 6.7% compared with the previous year (-26.9% since 2009). These are the final results from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
