Tourism accommodation statistics in February 2015 – Strong increase in overnight stays in February 2015
Neuchâtel, 07.04.2015 - (FSO) - According to provisional results from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), the Swiss hotel industry registered 3.1 million overnight stays in February 2015, which corresponds to a growth of 6.0% (+176,000 overnight stays) compared with February 2014. Domestic visitors recorded 1.5 million overnight stays, representing an increase of 8.4% (+119,000 overnight stays). Foreign demand registered 1.6 million overnight stays, i.e. an increase of 3.8% (+57,000 overnight stays).
