Police crime statistics 2014 – Homicides at lowest level in 30 years

Neuchâtel, 23.03.2015 - FSO) - In 2014, 41 homicides were recorded, the lowest level registered since the surveying of data from police reports (1982). Compared with 2013, an overall decline in offences under the Criminal Code (-8.5%), the Narcotics Act (-16.8%) and the Federal Act on Foreign Nationals (-4.7%) was also observed. These are some of the key findings of the Police Crime Statistics (PCS) compiled by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
