Employment barometer in 4th quarter 2014 – Increase in employment, mainly in the tertiary sector
Neuchâtel, 24.02.2015 - (FSO) - According to the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), the quarterly indicators of the employment barometer show employment growth of 1.0% in the 4th quarter 2014 compared with the same quarter a year earlier. The increase in employment was mainly seen in the tertiary sector (+1.3%). A slight decrease was seen in the number of vacancies (-0.4%) and the employment outlook indicator (-0.4%), while there was an increase in difficulty in recruiting personnel (+1.2%) compared with the same quarter of the previous year.
