Household production satellite account 2013 – Unpaid work has a value of CHF 401 billion
Neuchâtel, 19.02.2015 - (FSO) - 8.7 billion hours of unpaid work were performed in Switzerland in 2013. Accordingly, 14% more time was spent on unpaid work than on paid work (7.7 billion hours). The total amount of unpaid work performed in 2013 is estimated to have a monetary value of CHF 401 billion. These are the new findings from the household production satellite account produced by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
