National Consumer Price Index in July 2011 – Prices on downward trend due to clearance sales

Neuchâtel, 05.08.2011 - The national consumer price index calculated by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) registered a decline of 0.8% in July 2011. It reached 99.7 points (December 2010=100). Year-on-year inflation was 0.5%, compared with annualised rates of 0.6% in June 2011 and 0.4% in July 2010.
