Equality of people with disabilities 2021 - In 2021 almost one person in six with a disability was at risk of poverty
Neuchâtel, 30.11.2023 - People with disabilities were more at risk of poverty in 2021 than the rest of the population and benefited more from external financial support. People with disabilities also report having to forego health care for financial reasons more often, although they rate their general state of health as worse than people without disabilities. These findings come from the equality indicators of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), published ahead of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December.
