Health insurance premium index 2023 - Premium increases curbed growth in disposable income from 2022 and 2023 by 0.4 percentage points
Neuchâtel, 21.11.2023 - The health insurance premium index (KVPI) has registered an increase of 3.9% for premiums in 2023 compared with the previous year, reaching an index level of 202.0 points (base year 1999=100). The KVPI can be used to estimate the effects of the evolution of premiums on the growth of disposable income. Ac-cording to the Federal Statistical Office's KVPI model calculation, rising premiums curbed the growth of the average disposable income by 0.4 percentage points in 2023.
