5.5% of children in Switzerland had to forgo paid leisure activities in 2021 for financial reasons

Neuchâtel, 16.11.2023 - In 2021, over 6% of children under 16 in Switzerland were affected by at least three child-specific deprivations. The parents of more than 97% of children rated their general health as good or very good and 6.9% of children were reported to be limited in their daily activities due to health problems. These are some of the findings from the module "Deprivation and health of children" from the Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) conducted by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
