Producer and Import Price Index rose by 0.2% in October

Neuchâtel, 14.11.2023 - The Producer and Import Price Index rose in October 2023 by 0.2% compared with the previous month, reaching 108.8 points (December 2020 = 100). In particular, petroleum and natural gas as well as petroleum products saw higher prices. Electrical equipment and metal products, in contrast, became cheaper. Compared with October 2022, the price level of the whole range of domestic and imported products fell by 0.9%. These are the results from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
