Karin Keller-Sutter and Guy Parmelin meet Qatar's Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari
Bern, 18.09.2023 - On 18 September 2023, the two members of the Federal Council met with Qatar's Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, in Bern to discuss international financial and economic issues.
The meeting between Federal Councillors Karin Keller-Sutter, Head of the Federal Department of Finance, and Guy Parmelin, Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, and the Qatari Minister of Finance, Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, focused on bilateral economic and financial relations between the two countries, particularly with regard to the latest technological developments and sustainability in the financial sector.
The participants also discussed financial market stability, inflation, the international debt situation and global economic growth. Potential cooperation in the area of corporate taxation in multilateral bodies such as the OECD was also addressed.
