Four out of ten students undertake at least one internship during their studies
Neuchâtel, 11.09.2023 - In 2020, 38% of higher education students said they had completed at least one internship since the beginning of their higher education studies. 7% of students said they had taken concrete steps in order to carry out an internship and 18% that they intended to do one before the end of their studies.18% of internships were carried out abroad. Compulsory, unpaid internships were the most common type of internship undertaken during studies. These results are taken from the Federal Statistical Office's (FSO) topic report of the 2020 survey on the social and economic situation of students.
