Cultural workers: a declining unemployment rate that has recovered to pre-pandemic level
Neuchâtel, 11.5.2023 - In 2022, there were almost 270 000 cultural workers in Switzerland. Some 27% of these were self-employed, nearly twice as many as in the overall economy. Only 3.4% of cultural workers were unemployed based on the ILO definition in 2022, compared with 4% in 2021. These are some of the new results from the Federal Statistical Office's cultural economy statistics, updated today for the first time with detailed information on nationality and migration status.
