The increase in bankruptcies slowed down in 2022

Neuchâtel, 12.04.2023 - In 2022, the total number of bankruptcy proceedings opened against businesses and individuals increased by 6.6% compared with 2021. The increase is noticeable in a few cantons such as Ticino, Bern and Zurich, while about ten cantons registered a decrease. At the same time, the number of summons to pay remained relatively stable (+0.7%). These are the latest findings from the debt collection and bankruptcy statistics from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
