Positive employment situation sustained across Switzerland in 4th quarter 2022
Neuchâtel, 24.02.2023 - In 4th quarter 2022, the total employment (number of jobs) rose by 2.3% in comparison with the same quarter a year earlier (seasonally adjusted, +0.7% compared with the previous quarter). In terms of full-time equivalents, this was an increase of 2.4%. Companies reported a total of 18 700 (+18.1%) more vacancies than a year earlier and the employment outlook indicator also continued to point upwards (+1.2%). These are some of the latest findings from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
