Social expenditure remains high in Europe
Neuchâtel, 13.02.2023 - Between 2020 and 2021, expenditure on social benefits in Europe remained generally stable at the high level reached in 2020. In Switzerland, expenditure changed little between these two years: latest estimates point to a +0.3% in nominal terms and -0.2% in real terms. Expenditure totalled CHF 207.0 billion, according to the latest results published by the Statistical Federal Office (FSO).
