People with disabilities were less satisfied with their living conditions in 2020

Neuchâtel, 28.11.2022 - People with disabilities were less satisfied with their current life in 2020 than the rest of the population. These differences increased with the degree of disability. This was not only true for general satisfaction with their current life (with a score of 7.2 compared with 8.2 on a scale of 0 to 10), but also for most of the living conditions examined. In contrast, they showed a similar interest in politics to the rest of the population and participate actively in social and political life. These findings come from the equality indicators of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), published ahead of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3rd December.

This press release and further information on the topic can be found on the FSO website (see link below).
