Labour market situation of higher education graduates largely stable between 2019 and 2021

Neuchâtel, 29.08.2022 - Around three in ten graduates with a master degree from a cantonal university/institute of technology or with a bachelor degree from a university of applied sciences said that after graduating in 2020, it was difficult for them to find a job that met their expectations. For graduates with a diploma from a university of teacher education, only one person in ten was affected. However, in 2021, one year after graduation, these graduates’ unemployment rate based on ILO definition was 2.6% and thus 0.7 percentage points lower than that of 2018 graduates in 2019. These are the main findings of the Federal Statistical Office's (FSO) Graduate Survey.
