2nd quarter 2022: number of employed persons rises by 1.6%, unemployment rate based on ILO definition falls to 4.1%

Neuchâtel, 18.08.2022 - In the 2nd quarter of 2022, the number of employed persons in Switzerland increased by 1.6% compared with the same quarter of 2021 and the number of actual hours worked per week, per employed person, increased by 3.0%. During the same period, the unemployment rate as defined by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) fell from 5.0% to 4.1% in Switzerland and from 7.2% to 6.0% in the European Union. These are some of the results of the Swiss Labour Force Survey (SLFS).
