Meineimpfungen.ch: Health authorities to recover data – FDPIC withdraws deletion recommendation
Bern, 20.06.2022 - At the invitation of the FDPIC, health authorities have taken advantage of a final opportunity to recover the vaccination data, allowing the Commissioner to revoke his recommendation that the data be deleted.
The FDPIC has been informed that the public law agreement he proposed on 10 June 2022 on the takeover of the vaccination data of the meineimpfungen Foundation by federal or cantonal health authorities was concluded before the bankruptcy of the meineimpfungen Foundation could come into legal force.
The takeover of the vaccination data by the Department of Health and Social Affairs of the Canton of Aargau, which was carried out with the involvement of the FOPH, complied with this proposal and the associated requirements set by the FDPIC, meaning that the Commissioner was in a position to reconsider and revoke his deletion recommendation of 20 May 2022 vis-à-vis the Bern-Mittelland Bankruptcy Office last Friday.
After the data has been transferred, the next step will be to evaluate and implement a data protection-compliant project.
