Visit by the National Armaments Director to the Eurosatory
Bern, 13.06.2022 - National Armaments Director Martin Sonderegger will visit the weaponry industry trade fair Eurosatory in Paris from 13 to 15 June 2022. In addition to various company visits at the fair, he will meet with colleagues from France and Israel.
During the visit of the Swiss Delegation to the Eurosatory arms fair in Paris, National Armaments Director Martin Sonderegger will hold work meetings with Thierry Carlier, International Director of French General Direction for Armaments (DGA) as well as with Brigadier General (Retired) Yair Kulas, Head of the International Defence Cooperation Directorate of the Israeli Ministry of Defence (SIBAT).
The talks will focus on defence-relevant topics and current procurement projects. With regard to ongoing and planned procurements, information will be exchanged and the current status of work in Switzerland will be discussed. The goal of the visit is also to maintain and develop good relationships with the state organisations and representatives. The National Armaments Director will also visit various companies at the fair and will devote special attention to the Swiss industry present.
Eurosatory is a weaponry industry trade fair which is hosted in cooperation with the French Ministry of Defence. It takes place every two years in Paris. After the 2020 trade fair was held virtually due to the pandemic, this year’s event marks the return to its usual mode.
