Victim support: compensation and reparations at lowest level, increase in consultations

Neuchâtel, 09.06.2022 - For the year 2021 as a whole, victim support centres recorded 44 633 consultations, corresponding to an increase of 3% compared with the previous year. The amount of compensation and reparations awarded to victims or their relatives was at its lowest level since statistics began. CHF 4.8 million were allocated, a decrease of 10% compared with 2020. These figures come from the latest survey by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) on victim support as defined by law.
