Press conference invitation: Swiss Earnings Structure Survey 2020

Neuchâtel, 21.03.2022 - What were the wage levels in the various economic sectors in 2020? Did the gap between the highest and the lowest wages increase? What differences were found between the wages of Swiss and foreign nationals?

The initial results of the Swiss Earnings Structure Survey (ESS) 2020 – in greater detail for some cantons - enable the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) to respond to these questions. The ESS provides social partners and economic stakeholders with reference indicators on wage dynamics in Switzerland.

In the second part of the press conference, a commentary on the results will be given by representatives from the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the Swiss Federation of Trade Unions (SGB/USS) and the Swiss Employers Confederation (SAV/UPS).
