Activity of nine out of ten medical practices affected by the pandemic in 2020
Neuchâtel, 02.07.2021 - In 2020, against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic, nine medical practices out of ten saw a decline in their activity, leading to temporary closures in some cases. To cope with the financial difficulties this entailed, practices resorted to various measures: 35% of practices reduced working hours, 18% made use of cash grants. These are some of the results of the latest survey of structural data from medical practices and ambulatory centres carried out by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) between November 2020 and April 2021.
