Cultural behaviour remained stable despite increased use of digital offerings in 2019

Neuchâtel, 28.12.2020 - In 2019, over seven in ten people visited monuments, concerts and museums, two thirds of the population had their own artistic activities as a hobby. Despite the digital upheaval in music media and e-books, there was also a high level of stability in private music consumption and book reading. In contrast, the number of festival visits increased by almost 10% compared with 2014. These are some of the key results from the Federal Statistical Office’s latest survey on cultural behaviour in Switzerland.
