Language, religion, and culture survey 2019 - Religion and spirituality in Switzerland are changing

Neuchâtel, 14.12.2020 - In 2019, more than 70% of the Swiss population said that they had a religion. A quarter of the population went to a religious service more than five times a year and most of the population prayed at least once a year. Just over 8% of the population said that they had been discriminated against due to their religious beliefs. Compared with 2014, the importance of religion or spirituality in raising children decreased according to the survey on language, religion and culture from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
