26% of people with disabilities experience discrimination at work

Neuchâtel, 03.12.2020 - In 2018, 69% of persons with disabilities participated in the labour market. However, their quality of life at work was worse than that of people without disabilities. They were subject to a higher degree of discrimination or violence in the workplace (26%). Roughly 4% of persons with disabilities also indicated that in the previous twelve months they had suffered discrimination at work because of their disability. On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3rd December, the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) is publishing a new pocket statistics on Equality for persons with disabilities.
