Between 2012 and 2018, nursing and care staff increased by 17%
Neuchâtel, 26.06.2020 - In 2018, more than 214 000 people were working in the health care sector in hospitals, nursing homes and in home care and assistance services. This was equal to some 145 700 jobs (in full-time equivalents, FTE). Since 2012, nursing and care staff has grown overall by 17%, in particular to cope with the ageing of the population. These are some of the findings from a Federal Statistical Office (FSO) publication.
