Peace and stability: Federal Council seeking legal framework with the European Union (EU) for cooperation in civilian peacebuilding
Bern, 12.6.2020 - Switzerland has a great interest in security and stability in all regions of the world. To this end, the Federal Council is seeking a new legal and administrative framework for the future deployments of Swiss specialists to EU civilian missions. At its meeting on 12 June 2020 he approved the objectives and guidelines for the negotiating mandate subject to the consultation of the foreign affairs committees of the National Council and the Council of States.
