Swiss tourism sector remained buoyant in 2018
Neuchâtel, 27.06.2019 - Switzerland is increasingly attractive to foreign tourists. Revenue recorded in the Swiss tourism balance of payments grew for the third consecutive year. At the same time, people living in Switzerland continued to spend more when travelling abroad, despite price conditions that were slightly less favourable. The tourism balance of payments was CHF -1.3 billion, according to initial estimates from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
