Switzerland divided into 101 labour market areas

Neuchâtel, 25.06.2019 - The Federal Statistical Office (FSO) has revised the definition of its labour market areas. Henceforth, Switzerland has 101 labour market areas. These living and working areas have been defined based on the commuting patterns of employed persons from home to work. This new statistical definition is available for regional and national analyses and will help shed light where needed at a micro-regional level. By grouping these areas together, 16 large labour market areas have also been defined.
