Dirk Lindemann to take over as interim Head of FOITT

Bern, 14.06.2019 - The Federal Council has today taken the decision that Dirk Lindemann, Vice Director of the Federal Tax Administration, will take over as interim Head of the Federal Office of Information Technology, Systems and Telecommunication (FOITT). The aim is to ensure that the operation of the FOITT, and in particular the work on the key ICT projects, continues at the desired level of quality during the normal job advertisement procedure for the successor to the outgoing Director Giovanni Conti.

Dirk Lindemann has been a member of the Executive Board since January 2013 and Deputy Director and Head of the Resources Main Division of the Federal Tax Administration (FTA) since July 2015. In this function, he was also head of the Fiscal IT programme, with which the renewal of the IT landscape of the FTA was successfully completed at the end of 2018.

For his interim management role at the head of the FOITT, Dirk Lindemann was given the task of creating good conditions for the new management of the FOITT, ensuring the operation of the applications operated by the FOITT, establishing the necessary structures for the successful implementation of the key ICT projects DaziT and SUPERB23, and examining the possibility of integrating the FDF's digital platform (DIP) into the FOITT. He has all the necessary prerequisites as former program manager of Fiscal IT and as head of DIP.

Dirk Lindemann will be released from his duties at the FTA for the duration of his assignment at the FOITT. He will assume the new position next week.
