Total health expenditure in 2017 at CHF 82.5bn
Neuchâtel, 11.06.2019 - In 2017, total health care expenditure in Switzerland according to OECD standards was CHF 82.5 billion. This was 2.6% more than the previous year. During the same period, the percentage of gross domestic product spent on health care rose from 12.2 to 12.3%. These are the findings of the Federal Statistical Office's (FSO) provisional figures on the costs and financing of the health care system in 2017.
