Bern, 15.05.2019 - Statement from the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland following the decision of the Judicial Committee of 15.05.2019
The Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (OAG) has noted the decision of the Judicial Committee (JC) in relation to the election of the Attorney General and his deputies for the 2020-2023 term of office.
The OAG remains entirely at the disposal of the responsible bodies for any clarifications or questions. Irrespective of the inspection announced by the Control Committees to look into the differences between Supervisory Authority for the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (SA-OAG) and the OAG in their respective understandings of supervision, and the disciplinary proceedings against the Attorney General, the OAG will continue to cooperate with the SA-OAG within the legal framework of its supervisory activities.
The OAG will continue to carry out its criminal proceedings in accordance with its statutory mandate.
