Sebastian Hueber appointed new head of FDFA Information

Bern, 21.12.2018 - Sebastian Hueber has been appointed as the new head of FDFA Information by Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis. Currently head of communication at the Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate, Mr Hueber will take up his new post at the FDFA in April 2019 at the latest.

Mr Hueber is 46 and has previously worked as a journalist and editor, including eight years at the Swiss News Agency SDA-ATS. From 2005 to 2011, Mr Hueber was press spokesperson, head of information and deputy head of communication at the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport. Six months after the nuclear accident in Fukushima, he transferred to the Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate, where he was in charge of setting up a new communication section. He has headed this section since 2011.

Mr Hueber will take up his new post at the FDFA by April 2019 at the latest, replacing Jean-Marc Crevoisier, who will take up a new communication post at the Swiss mission to the UN in New York in mid-2019.
