Goods transport in 2017 - Rail goods transport fell by 7% in 2017
Neuchâtel, 27.11.2018 - The transport performance of rail goods transport in 2017 fell by 7% compared with the previous year, while transport performance by road grew by 1.5%. These are some of the findings of the goods transport statistics produced by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO). The decline in rail transport is very likely to be linked with the temporary closure of the Rhine Valley line near Rastatt.
