New version of debt brake brochure
Bern, 14.06.2018 - The refreshed brochure on the debt brake has been published. It explains the mechanism for managing the Confederation's overall expenditure.
The brochure provides at a glance the functioning, history, effects, fiscal policy challenges and success story of the debt brake.
The publication is available in English, French, German and Italian, and can be obtained free of charge from the Federal Office for Buildings and Logistics (FOBL) under article number 601.003 (see link).
