Total health expenditure in 2016 at CHF 80.7bn
Neuchâtel, 19.04.2018 - (FSO) – In 2016, total health care expenditure in Switzerland according to OECD standards was CHF 80.7 billion. This was 3.8% more than the previous year. The percentage of gross domestic product spent on health care rose from 11.9 to 12.2%. These are the findings of the Federal Statistical Office's (FSO) provisional figures on the costs and financing of the health care system in 2016.
