Road motor vehicles 2017 - Number of newly registered diesel cars falls by almost one tenth
Neuchâtel, 01.02.2018 - (FSO) – In 2017, there were over 6 million motorised road vehicles in Switzerland for the first time: With around 6 053 000 units, the total stock exceeded the previous year’s value by 1.2% or 73 000 vehicles. Among the new registrations, diesel-powered cars recorded a decrease of 9% compared with the previous year. These findings are from the Federal Statistical Office's (FSO) newly published Road Motor Vehicle Statistics.
