Indirect press support: Federal Council sets the delivery reductions for 2018
Bern, 08.12.2017 - In 2018, the reductions granted by Swiss Post for the delivery of local and regional daily and weekly newspapers will be CHF 0.24 per copy. The non-profit organizations (so-called subscription publications and foundations' publications) will benefit from a reduction of CHF 0.17 per copy. On 8 December 2017 the Federal Council approved the reductions for the delivery of subscriber newspapers and magazines in Swiss Post’s daily service. These are based on the results of the self-declarations submitted by the publishers, which are requested annually by the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM). Lists of the eligible newspapers and magazines are published on the OFCOM website.
